Start with your local workforce office
An American Job Center or the relevant state workforce agency can explain local services, assessment and eligibility. Ask which office serves your residence and employment situation.
Match the precise program
Check the provider, training location, program name and current listing. Approval can attach to a specific program rather than the whole institution.
Ask what the award would cover
Confirm tuition limits, approved costs, tools, exams and support services in writing. Ask whether authorization must be issued before you enroll or pay a deposit.
Compare the source dates
State lists, performance reports and national directories may use different reporting periods. A historical performance record is not proof that a program is currently approved or recruiting.
